ABOUT
Selina is a Licensed Massage Therapist based in Flatbush (Brooklyn, New York) with 1000 hours of practicum and clinic instruction and over 50 hours of continued education credits. Her classical training and years of performing as a professional dancer form the basis for her intuitive understanding of bodies and how to care for them. She completed her studies at the Pacific College of Health and Science (formerly Pacific College of Oriental Medicine) where she now works as a professor, training the next wave of manual therapists. Before starting her home practice, she worked as a resident LMT specializing in pre- and post-natal massage for four years.
Selina is a trauma-informed manual therapist. Her studies have included Shiatsu, myofascial release, Thai massage, deep tissue/sports recovery, breast and chest health, Tui Na, trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, perinatal massage, and reflexology. Her style integrates both Eastern and Western medical wisdom while avoiding set protocols. Every session and every appointment is tailored for the individual on the table.
Selina believes in evidence-based practice and the importance of research. Her latest paper on Massage and Healing from Domestic Violence will be published in the International Journal of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork vol. 19 in 2025.
